Revisiting Hackney... and Ruiz? 11:20 - Aug 14 with 6049 viewsSamWhiteUK

I've seen a few people say that they wouldn't be surprised if Hackney ended up here and I wouldn't be either, but what happened with the other guy... Ruiz? There was all that, he doesn't want to come here, no he never said that, no he's staying put... is that all wrapped up now?

I'd imagine it won't be that difficult to get Hackney here now he has worked for Rob Edwards for a few weeks and saw the result against Doncaster the other night. He's probably phoning us.

And of course, he totally missed the ipswich Bromley result

Why are you still doubting this after I shared the link quoting McKenna saying he wanted to sign but couldn't because of the contractual situation, in the Broadhead thread. I noticed you totally ignored that comment even though you doubted my initial comment and asked for proof.

Here's a quote from McKenna for you, make your own mind up:

“He has shown a desire to come here, not just now but in the summer as well. It's pretty well known that we tried to bring Jaden to the football club in the summer and amongst having the options of quite a lot of well-established Premier League clubs, his expressed desire was to come here."

“It was something that we tried to do in the end, but it wasn't possible with the contractual situation with Aston Villa, and he went back to his previous club."

Because Kieran McKenna's job is to manage Ipswich Town Football Club - he won't be adverse to a little fib to try and protect his players.

Thanks for the direct quote!

We may have lost but we didn't get demolished at home.

Righto! You're still happy to peddle nonsense when you clearly, still haven't read Phil's article that I linked for you, at your request, then.

We hadn't signed Philogene at that point. So you're trying to say Kieran was talking bollox about a player at another club, whilst we were trying to buy him. How is that protecting our players? If anything Kieran talking sh*te is more likely to have put Villa off the deal! Why would he risk that?

I'm not 'peddling nonsense' I'm saying the facts aren't known, because they're not.
I read the article and your quote, it's appreciated - it's just not conclusive.

Either way, you're getting a bit worked up about nothing. Chill it out or I'll have to stick you on block, old boy.

If Hackney like Omari do not want to play for Ipswich Town Football Club it is a non starter. Period

Why does this have -4 votes.

Omari and Hackney do not want to play for ITFC, this is well documented on endless blogs, newspapers worldwide. It not opinion.

No, Hackney rejected a move to town at that moment, perhaps we asked him to meet a deadline and he refused to meet it as he wants to wait until a prem club comes in for him....

Supposition, not facts. There's a big difference. Plenty written elsewhere explaining this.
