Norwich at home... 13:28 - Aug 22 with 2083 viewsbluearmy4838

5 weeks post deadline day, hopefully getting into our stride after a lot of change, and with an additional days rest compared to their schedule.

I've got a sneaky feeling ladies & gentlemen that we're 6 and bit weeks from giving them an absolute lesson.

I think there will be similar scenes in town as what there was after the Huddersfield game.

Annoys me that they’ll give it a ‘wow one win in 394957 years’

On the flip side, there are 20/25 year old scum fans that won’t have remembered how it feels for us to beat them, sending them to the Orwell bridge.

If they lose at PR that “16 years” nonsense will be totally dead and finished however they try and spin it.

It's nonsense in its current state given the amount of seasons in their calculations we weren't even in the same division

16 years
They can't add up
We're Ipswich Town
And we're going up

Dont even want to think about it.

Felt like the chance was the home game in 23/24. We should have been 4-0 up at half time and still managed to come away with a point.

If we beat them, I’m going to treat it like any win against a championship side. I think it will hurt them more if we make out it’s just another 3 points and they are nobody special.

Obviously I hope so, but what this unbeaten 'run' has shown is how little bearing actual results actually have on a rivalry. In the time since we last beat them they've been rubbish, we've been rubbish, they've been great, we've been great. If we'd won the Premier League and Champions League whilst they went down to non league they would be banging on about 20 years and 25 years but I don't expect any of us would care whilst we were thrashing PSG.

OK, exaggerated (and incredibly unlikely!) scenario, but in short if we go up again and still don't beat them I won't care one jot, just like I didn't last time.
