Obviously I hope so, but what this unbeaten 'run' has shown is how little bearing actual results actually have on a rivalry. In the time since we last beat them they've been rubbish, we've been rubbish, they've been great, we've been great. If we'd won the Premier League and Champions League whilst they went down to non league they would be banging on about 20 years and 25 years but I don't expect any of us would care whilst we were thrashing PSG.
OK, exaggerated (and incredibly unlikely!) scenario, but in short if we go up again and still don't beat them I won't care one jot, just like I didn't last time. |  |
