Broadhead against Cardiff, Omari against Hull (twice) , Jack Taylor against Wolves in the League Cup, Wes Burns against Coventry. Plus many more.

Not seen anyone take a chance like the above. How many shots have we had from outside the box in our last three games. We seem to be trying to pass ten ball into the net. Even when we get in the penalty area we are trying neatly little passes that are easily cut out by defenders.

That was the thing with Broadhead, and to some extent Omari - could pull stuff out of nowhere and Broady doing that against Sheff Wed put us back on track in the L1 season.

Don’t see it in the current crop at all.

Yep, I've said elesewhere we seem to be overplaying and/or picking the wrong pass quite a lot in the final third.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Jack Clarke and Jaden Philogene are more than capable. Can’t remember the last time I saw a Jack Taylor unleash a thunderbastard.

No one prepared to take that responsibility of trying something special.

Indeed, but it's not always just something special. We seem to get into reasonable positions where a regular 'non-special' shot would be fine, but we overplay. Seems to be a confidence issue.

One of my whatsapps to a mate on Saturday was simply "SHOOT".

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

While I don't necessarily disagree with your second paragraph, we've only played 3 games. Give them time.

This is one of several things I don't understand about Jack Taylor. He is (in my opinion) a fairly average Championship midfielder, but the one thing he has in his locker is an incredible shot - yet he never shoots! You would have thought a game where the opposition are packing the defence would be tailor made for him to have a go, but no.

Is Clarke capable of it? 34(?) league games - no goals.

He was at Sunderland. Scored one against us by cutting in and unleashing a shot from the edge of the box.

39% of our shots have been from outside the box. Last time in the championship it was 33%.

Poll: Your favourite thing about THAT goal?

Yes Jack so very nearly did it at Fulham hitting the post . Think Jack Taylor did try at Preston but just over the bar ?

For me, the bigger problem last Saturday was that our shooting (when we did take a shot) was woeful. Get it on target and make the keeper do something.

Yeah there's been a few wild ones as well. We seem to go from one extreme to the other - either overplaying or hitting ridiculous efforts either too far out, off balance, or from unlikely angles.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
