I’m sure it’s been mentioned before but how does he still have a job here?

Sheff Utd fans warned us how terrible they were at set pieces once he came in and we’ve also become shockingly bad at both ends since he arrived.

From memory we were really successful in L1 and CH when I believe Charlie Turnbull had that responsibility alongside his other duties?

Also if his role is purely set pieces surely it’s a part time role? Which can’t be a good thing for the players anyway as it must limit our practice.

Our set pieces are appalling. Have been for a good while now. Don’t know how KM can’t see that ?

Young put some cracking balls in the box, but our players weren’t anywhere near. Our set pieces have been much worse since Hudson came in.

He is a “Set play and first team coach”

During the summer we also appointed a set piece analyst.

We looked fine defensively from set pieces last season right up until that United away game then we just fell of a cliff since.

Our attacking set pieces have been utterly woeful since he joined though & should be sacked for that alone.

What I don't understand is our attacking set pieces used to be quite imaginative, at the very least could we have not continued doing that? Could argue that teams would have worked it out but it surely couldn't be any worse.

We seem to be doing a lack of short corners, or anyone coming short as an option to draw opposition players out of the box

Defensively at set pieces we look nervous. On attacking set pieces we are so static. We crowd the area from about 12 yards and then there is too little movement. I seriously cannot remember the lzst thunder ba$tard header we scored from a corner as we don't attack the ball. As far as direct free kicks go, Clarke's weak attempt straight into the wall on Satuurday was as inept and insipid as it gets.

I think set pieces are another area where having so many new players in the building doesn't help. I think we need a lot of things to settle down to be honest.

I actually think we've improved this season and created some decent chances - so the approach has been okay but the execution hasn't quite been there yet. As long as we keep generating the chances the goals will come.

Birmingham was poor overall and set-pieces no different but for the other two the data matches up to what I thought in the ground. If you don't like xG then worth going back to look at the chances but at the minute we're getting a shot off about 1 in 4 corners which is pretty good.

Birmingham
Set Piece xG For 0.05
Set Piece xG Against 0.25
Corners 4 – 1 shot generated
Set Piece Chances
O’Shea – header from corner – xG 0.05

Southampton
Set Piece xG For 0.70
Set Piece xG Against 0.15
Corners 4 – 1 shot generated
Set Piece Chances
Hirst – header from free kick – xG 0.22
Taylor – header from free kick – xG 0.04
O’Shea – header from corner – xG 0.10
Chaplin – header from free kick – xG 0.27
Hirst – header from free kick – xG 0.07

Preston
Set Piece xG For 0.57
Set Piece xG Against 0.00 (Not including penalty)
Corners 6 – 2 shots generated
Set Piece Chances
Clarke – direct free kick – xG 0.05
Johnson – shot from free kick – xG 0.05
Hirst – header from corner – xG 0.22
Greaves – shot from corner – xG 0.18
Taylor – shot from set piece – xG 0.05

Just noticed that Berke Bakay is the only one of the original trio of Brett Johnson, Mark Detmer and Berke listed as Director.

Have the other two just left etc?

Poll: Lambert goes, would you prefer an ex-Town connection replacement or not?

There's a difference between the ITFC Board and the GameChanger20 board. The original 3 are all on the GC20 board along with the more recent investors. Berke sits on both boards.

Thanks for clarifying that for me.

All we do now is loft it to the back post for Greaves/O'Shea to nod it back across the face of goal.

Poll: What will be announced first?
