Broadhead 21:12 - Aug 25 with 2816 views | USA | Injured already. Calf injury ahead of Wrexham game tomorrow against PNE. And that’s why we didn’t keep him. As much as he had some quality, he’s made of glass.

Broadhead on 21:15 - Aug 25 with 2702 views | urbanpenguin | Weird post. Of all the issues people may have had with him, and he seemed a pretty sound professional, I don't think this was one of them.

Broadhead on 21:18 - Aug 25 with 2621 views | bsw72 | What are you on about? There was a number of reasons he wanted to move and the club moved him on but his injury record was almost certainly not one of them.
Broadhead on 21:55 - Aug 25 with 2212 views | ITFCSG | Speedy recovery, much as I didn’t want to see him go Model professional always ready to be called upon and perform even though he was de facto dropped from the squad after the arrival of the useless J Clarke Frozen out for almost half a season then comes up with a goal v Bournemouth when played Wasn’t really injured a lot compared to some sicknotes we have had tbh

Transfermarkt’s injury record states he missed 6 games, a hammy for a month and a very short knee issue. I don’t know if that’s accurate, but I don’t recall him being injury prone either.

Broadhead on 22:10 - Aug 25 with 2042 views | John_Warks_Willy | I’ve a lot of time for Broadhead. Purely in the game for the football, nothing more. We def wanted to keep him for very good reason, but always respect any footballer who simply wants to go where he’ll be a starter and completely adored. Hope he smashes it there.

He went just so bloody good for us. Any side will miss his quality.

Funny how his exit is viewed completely differently to Omari whilst both refused to play and both were pushing for moves away from the club

One went up to Aberdeen, went down to Auxerre, went across to Birmingham, while the other one quit in July (without formally quitting). Difference is stark really. Calling in sick for Bromley was understandable, sensible even from a risk standpoint, once the move had been agreed been parties, with Broadhead announced by Wrexham less than 48 hours later. The same was true for Eze and Fredrikstand (sp.). I think every Palace fan would also recognise that Eze was a model pro in spite of that practical decision.

Call it for what it is then, rather than trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

Fair I don't know why we and Palace reported these absences as sickness. Thinnest of thin wool as you intimate. In the case of Eze, I believe he was even at the ground watching along. Could be the stock club answer to not invite further scrutiny or it could be the stock player submission in those situations. I know McKenna's comments about reporting ill and "not ideal" came after the embarrassing exit to a L2 second string, which may speak to why he presented the absence so differently to how the Palace camp did.
