I've seen him described in the Spanish press as the most exciting young prospect amongst strikers here. Fàbregas rates him highly and gave him quite a bit of time pre-season despite deciding he had overbooking on attackers and signed Morata on top.
I'm really looking forward to seeing him and providing real competition for Hirst.
From the little I've seen he is a proper goalscorer and a tad feisty. Still quite young and new to English football so expectations need to be tempered a bit but I think McKenna will get the best out of him.
Reports here said we've been watching him since 2023 so in no way a panic buy, maybe just cautious particularly following a recurring injury from last season. |  | | |

I think there may have been stuff going on behind the scenes that we probably won't know about but reports were he was close to signing for Olympiacos last week and just yesterday for Getafe.
It appears he originally wanted to sign for Valencia when they showed interest but that wasn't going to happen with their messing about and lack of funds and commitment.
Pure speculation on my part but I think the deal was done in reality a couple of weeks back and the delay has been Como backing down on the obligation to buy at the end of the loan. And I believe Azón was holding out for that or he could have been playing Champions League football in Greece or close to home in a crappy Madrid suburb. | | | |

He’ll be like that other one we had who just rolled around on his arse all day. I’d much rather have Finland’s exciting young prospect :)
Seriously, he sounds good. Fingers crossed it works out for him and us. It might take a while to get used to the league and us, so my expectations are duly tempered. |  |
