Despite what some will have you believe Ashton is so vitally important to this club and it's continued rebirth, yes there were moments in recent weeks that I too thought what the hell is going on with the squad rebuild but in MA we really should trust, for me the guy is superb and even more important than KM.

Even wears lifts on his trainers.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

The man deserves a pass to wear whatever he wants today. One yellow trainer, one green, all good.

But I do wonder why the team needs three different kits when Ashton wears exactly the same thing every day of the week home and away!

Well said. The bloke absolutely bleeds blue and white. His commitment and work since day one has been outstanding. One transfer takes a huge amount of time and effort let alone the number that him and KMc have clearly been working on.
Superb stuff yet again from the owners, chief exec and KMc.

Apologies for the criticism of MA recently but this signing is just brilliant by the Club and the PR they are putting out is genius

Looking at the Budgies around me flying into a frenzy and the budgie team kill on social media it has already made my weekend. Signing is worth every penny just for the troll factor.

Long may it continue

P.S. if we sign Sargent as well I am willing to eat humble pie and kowtow to MA

He has a huge ego and he grates on me which is why I don't usually watch or listen to him BUT he does a fantastic job for the club . It’s his ego that got the Núñez deal done. He knew that it was so much more than signing a good footballer. He realised if he could sign him it would lift the fans and show that he could do what many would have considered not possible. The reaction on this board and across social media that it has achieved what he intended. Well done MA, great work.

Poll: Most enjoyable calendar year as an Ipswich supporter
