Why would we sign Furlong with adequate cover in the short term even if Clarke and BJ left? McKenna seemed pretty clear it was to cover the full back positions.
So this is based purely on speculation? |
We started Chaplin on Saturday. He was very much in McKenna's plans. It doesn't make a genius to work out that the player expected to leave was Johnson, a player on high wages, never really trusted as a right back by McKenna and someone who has been underwhelming. |  |
