for us to go up this season.... 16:47 - Sep 1 with 569 views | blueysbackside | is now a monumental task, but not impossible. Good luck, McK. I posted in here a while back about my concern over a lack of goals in the squad - only to receive a number of downvotes cos my opinion didn't fir the narrative at the time (it seems you can't criticise anything MnK or Ashton-related in here). For what it's worth, if Chappers follows Woolfie out of the door, I think Burns is our most experienced Town player (140-odd IT games) followed by Leif (120?). And then you've got the likes of Hurst and Walton (60-odd games each). We're no longer Ipswich Town, we're Strangers United. I felt the same during the Demolition Man era. I hope this chapter ends with a similar promotion. And we expect this lot of newbies to just click? That's gonna take some waving of a magic wand. But looking at the positives, we have bought well - albeit a number of great individuals. I just hope there's a team there....at the mo, I can't see it. Cue more downvotes.....

for us to go up this season.... on 16:57 - Sep 1 with 450 views | blue_curacao | Are you suggesting that the task has *now* become monumental because Chappers and Woolfy are leaving? I'm not sure their specific departures have affected the size of the task as I don't think that either of them were central to KM's plans. I think that Chappers is a loss but it's not insurmountable. Also, in response to your question about this lot of newbies just clicking, a significant number of posters do seem to expect it!
for us to go up this season.... on 17:00 - Sep 1 with 417 views | ITFCSG | For all the criticism Cook got as "demolition man" McK now is no different as "demolition man mk. II" Getting rid of Chappers, Broady, and signing players like McAteer, why? And I'd ship Philogene out on loan, hasn't proven himself, how long more do we need?

In the league last season, Chaplin played in 22 games and Woolfenden 15. Of the 22 that Chaplin played in we won 1 and he scored 1 and assisted with 1 in 854 mins out of a season total of at least 3,420. Of the 15 that Woolfenden played in we won 1 in 1,187 mins out of a season total of at least 3,420. Not sure that losing in effect 2 x squad players from the last 15 months is making the task any more challenging.

Well, yeah....the loss of whose two clubs stalwarts HAS made it more difficult. Walton isn't our first choice keeper, while Burns is recovering from a serious injury. So apart from Leif I'd argue we don't have anyone in the dressing room who has any kind of connection with the club or fans.

....which is working SO well at the mo. We're at our most disjointed attacking-wise since McK joined. Incidentally, who would your front 4 be?

Absolutely, none of the new players like Hirst can have any kind of connection with the club. I bet they don't even turn up for training... And as for connection with the fans, who has ever seen any of them going over to our support at an away game and giving them a round of applause ? Not the home support at Portman Road who leave five minutes early to beat the traffic, that's for sure...

They won’t win any golden boots being played out of position every week!
