Playing in Europe must have played a part in his decision to go to Forest but now he (and Zinchenko) seem to be pawns in a power struggle between the owner and Nuno who fell out over transfer policy. With with mckenna. He would have developed a lot more..and become more mature. He has time on his side and could have turned out to be a major fulcrum. Now he might only be a bit player for forest ,and been put under pressure for trying to change a game .I can see forest struggling this season. He didnt give a fook about this club, just about securing his own future. The way he acted to get himself a transfer was shameful. He wasn't even that good anyway. Held on to the ball too long and insisted on blasting at goal from 20 yards out too often. |
Let’s not be too revisionist about this - he was great in the promotion season into the PL. Yes in the PL he wasn’t great - but who actually was - but he did enough to prove that he has a lot of potential with both Forest and Brentford willing to invest in that talent.
Why should he care about Ipswich? I’m sure he liked his time here but to many players, sentiment doesn’t come into it. He played well and the club benefited from such performances.
I don’t like how he left but that’s football - it’s not a nice industry. It’s ruthless and if you don’t perform, players get turfed out without a spare thought. And let’s face it, if he had a rubbish season most fans wouldn’t be loyal to him regardless of the price tag.
When he’s next plays us, I won’t boo him or shout abuse him but just be rather indifferent towards him. |  | | |

I didn't know the UEFA definition (or indeed if the article was using the correct term at all).
The thing which often confuses people is that the first, Home Grown, can be at any FA club in England, not necessarily the one the player is with now. |
Yes, that is the big difference between Home Grown and Club Developed. Home Grown just means any FA club (not just English - it includes the Welsh clubs within the FA too). | | | |

The difference with Broadhead & Omari is that Broadhead was available for all but one of the games he was here for and he actually had a move to a specific club lined up, Omari on the other hand refused to play in all of them in the hope of any old club coming in for him. | | | |

I think the reason he’s had to be left out (or been chosen as one to leave out) is due to home grown players or lack of. Not sure on the detail but heard that due to missing targets on homegrown players the squad size they’ve been able to choose in Europe was reduced from 25-22.
There’s still obviously the reason for him not being in the 22 to fully understand which, as you and others have said, sound like Nuno doesn’t fancy him at the moment
Edit: This is from the BBC Website ‘ Forest have been restricted to 22 players given their lack of home grown players. Only Ryan Yates is in their list A squad.

That's not oh he isn't first team pick or just an impact sub bench pick that's barely making their second XI.
