McAuley was a very good player, but 30 then and probably wouldn't have had a huge amount of value as a consequence, maybe £3m if he had a couple of years on his contract. Wickham yes, we got nearly that then so no reason why we wouldn't eclipse it in this market.

I reckon you could double that for Wickham. He was so highly regarded. Didn't we get a record championship fee for him at the time? Certainly not far off if not. So I'd say more like £40m - £50m

Delap came from the Man City academy which has produced endless gems and had a great season in the Prem. 40-50m is well overvalued even with his potential back then. £20-25m would do it.

Yeah maybe. I think I was subconsciously taking into account that we weren't exactly well run and therefore wouldn't be getting the best price for these players, and it wasn't as if they were part of a high performing team. Probably taking this game too seriously tbh.

Meant to say I was referring to 2010s rather than 2010 itself. Honestly thought of it when reminiscing about Gareth McCauley, see he departed for Premier League West Brom and played up there for years. And "in the 2016–2017 season was the most prolific goal scoring campaign of McAuley's career, scoring 6 goals in 36 Premier League appearances. These goals included a 94th minute equaliser away at West Ham United". To my mind that makes him very valuable. I'd say he'd be fetching £15m in the same situation now going up to a Prem club and having international heritage.

You're not getting £50mill for a Championship player with no Prem exposure, not even in this market.
