Why? If the semis weren’t there, a lot of people will miss out. Each club receives approximately 32,000 tickets. If for example, the semis were held at the Emirates, each club would probably receive around 23k tickets - just not enough. |
Matt the point is they shouldn’t be there at all, so 32,000 each should miss out not just 9k.
I’m not sure if your age or course but I presume you’re a youngster under 35 ?

Presumably they feel they can make more from a Coldplay gig at Wembley tonight whilst also being seen to ‘do the right thing’ in sharing games around geographically. Needing Wembley for football all weekend in peak gig season costs. |  | | |

Yes, but Andorra don't have a chance. Neither do all the minnow nations. And it's a complete wasted part of a jam-packed footballing calendar as well as being meaningless and boring.
Why don't they restructure all the minnow nations into their own league where the winners can play in the qualifiers. Earn the right. We've seen the joy of minnows getting to the 3rd or 4th round of the FA Cup. They need to make these qualifiers meaningful and also more jeopardy... like there's a possibility a big country doesn't qualify. All they're doing is ensuring the big nations get to the finals so there's more TV revenue. But its demeaning the quality of it. |
With an expanded World Cup, all the bigger nations should qualify anyway so if we don't play the small nations in qualifiers there will be no one else to play. Yes, it is all about maximising TV and advertising revenue. |  | | |

So what, it should be a treat to get there. Lots of people missed out on tickets to Ipswich games last year, maybe we should have moved all of our home games to Wembley too |  |
