Certainly even over the course of his career he's had injury problems, but let's not forget also that only two seasons ago he banged in 30 goals for Blackburn, we know he'll score goals if we provide him, for me his strength has always been on the counter attack, so far we've faced two low block sides and Soton and Brum where he did get chances, just needs that sharpness back.. |  | |  |

Because he is never played in the position he can do the most damage. Mckenna is too stubborn to change things. Square pegs in round holes. That’s why we have these problems. The players simply don’t fit Mckennas system. |
Well he's played off the left and he has played in the central 10 position which I believe is where he played for Blackburn, what position is his 'best' in your opinion? |  | | |

Since signing for us, he played 13 matches, was dropped to the bench for one and then played the next one. That's 15 matches back-to-back without an injury. After missing a match (no injury reported), he played 4 more on the bounce. He then got injured, returned too soon for one match and was out for the rest of the season.
He also scored 4 goals for us and was involved in the matches where we got 13 of our 22 points.
This season he has played all four matches without missing any for us. I agree he has not looked on top of his game, but I would also suspect he was not 100% fit when Chaplin started ahead of him last match.
I think Akpom will play ahead of him now but to suggest he is frequently breaking down injured is a massive exaggeration. |  |

Pretty sure Akpom would have been starting next game in the 10. Gives us one less option but doesn't sound too serious. | |

Assuming your evidence is correct, for some to suggest SS is “frequently breaking down” is I feel misrepresentation and worse than “massive exaggeration”. [Post edited 9 Sep 4:47]
