That is largely true, and of course it's a good thing that members should get a benefit from membership, and that those who are dedicated should have a chance to be at the Derby.
I shall be there, as someone who is not a season ticket holder but a member, and a supporter of many decades' standing.
But I do dislike driving a wedge between different perceived strata of "properness" of supporter. One of the things I love about being an Ipswich fan is the fact that we seem to get everywhere. Wherever you go there always seems to be the odd one other Ipswich fan (school, workplace, random holiday island, wherever). Because of geography, many can't get to games regularly. I've always been to a few a year, and obviously watched on TV and listened on the radio when I can't get there. This approach has not changed, whether in the low attendance 90s, the two first stints in the premier league, the Evans era, the recent prem stint, and then this season. I really don't think there are very many who would only turn up for the Norwich game. It is certainly the case that /out of/ those who only make a few games a year, naturally they would prefer to see Norwich, but that's not the same thing.
We can't, at the same time, be annoyed when we see local kids in West Ham, Man U, or Barca kits, and then also be annoyed when we attract new fans when we're doing well. We should, despite legitimate differences of opinion, try to stick together as a fan base rather than having pot shots at each other based on, for example, how easily we can recall Mick Stockwell's middle name.

You can post the most non-controversial comment and there will be some idiots who are prepared to jump on the keyboard and have a pop with some sarcastic reply!
