Kone 12:50 - Sep 14 with 816 viewswrightsrightglove

3 in 4 now and a nicely taken goal yesterday. Wonder if he’s one we might regret not picking up?

Does he fit the profile and the style of our team? Just because somebody is banging in goals in a one man team doesn't mean they would do it in a more all round team.

He was gagging for us to put an offer in. We enquired but never formalised anything.

I think he does from what I’ve seen

Indeed, but he seems like he might work out as a very good ‘player trading’ option at £2million and I think he may well be able to step up to the prem

Seems strange to me at £2million, but I’m sure MA and KMK know far more than I do

Seen lots of talk about him being similar to bonne in that he had a storming half season but not so much after.

Be interesting to see how he does this season.

Premier League? I doubt it. He doesn’t look quick enough, from what I’ve seen of him. Reminds me a bit of Ellis Simms.

To contradict myself, I wouldn’t have been averse to him coming here though. He does have a bit about him and has obviously started well this season.

Kone to QPR..... by Bloots 11 Aug 16:06
....dodged a bullet there I reckon.

I tried to tell people...... Was told he might not be better than Ali

He is a proper proper player. Future Premier League footballer without question.

But then I feel like people also suggested he wouldn’t be able to make the step up to the championship and he seems to be taking to it like a duck to water. It looks to me that he’s got all the key ingredients to improve, particularly under McKenna but then if he was coming in as a second or third choice that could have stunted his progress I suppose. Will be interesting to see how he gets on for the rest of the season

Guess the feeling is we are in a position to be the next stepping stone now (rightly or wrongly).

Think there was some fairly serious prem interest before. West Ham one of them.

If you think of what makes a successful striker. Pace, power, runs channels, scores all types of goals. He has so much to his game.
