As a fan of town 19:56 - Sep 14 with 892 views | FrimleyBlue | You want the prem because it's the top league But as a football fan.. is it wrong that watching prem football does nothing for me and that I love the ugliness of championship and lower league football Watching city v utd today. I just felt I'm just watching tippy tappy passing for 90 minutes. Barely any battles on the pitch. No real defensive mistakes that made it fun to watch. Just a bit of a bore fest despite 3 goals and perhaps more.

As a fan of town on 20:02 - Sep 14 with 835 views | football | Totally agree - really don’t enjoy watching it and yesterday decided to watch some Championship games rather than PL. Its proper football But appreciate that’s where we need to aim
As a fan of town on 20:04 - Sep 14 with 820 views | MK1 | I have made no secret of wanting us to stay in the Championship. Obviously I want us to be as successful as possible, but the PL is just so sterile. 8th in the Championship and a quarter final or better cup run every 3 years and then MK1 would be a very happy bunny.

It's a bit rubbish when the promised land is such a let-down Blah blah, journey is better than the destination Maybe we will all feel a bit better if we can give the Prem a bit more of a go next time

I'd probably enjoy the games then as town are in it. But i got more enjoyment today watching Southampton v pompy a 0-0 than the Manchester Derby. Which is wrong.

No thanks,we had nearly 20 years of that under Evan’s. And if you think the fans will stick around then forget it,most won’t. We need to be successful to keep the interest or we could end up in league 1 again. It baffles me how some supporters want this. Utter nonsense.

Many PL games may be repetitive moves and plays, often neutralising each other, but at least most games involve playing the football. That can’t be said for the majority of Championship games, where the football gathers more icicles than blades of grass, or the opposition gather the player rather than the ball. I’ll take the former anytime, and it also involves competing at the top, not accepting 2nd tier mediocrity. Each league has the odd exception, but for me the PL is more about playing the ball.
As a fan of town on 21:24 - Sep 14 with 329 views | darkhorse28 | City have never been fun to watch. But it’s winning football so hard for people to complain. What I find interesting is our style is based in theirs as are most young managers style.., inverting layers, over loads. I’m not sure we’ve been very entertaining since 23/24. Winning football covers many sins. We loved Mick when we won.

As a fan of town on 21:59 - Sep 14 with 163 views | PrideOfTheEast | Think I agree. Found the Portsmouth game much more exciting than any premier league screened this weekend, and that was 0-0! I think it might be different if we were competitive in the league above but I’m not convinced tbh. Obviously I am desperate for us to get promoted but not sure I’m that bothered about what lies ahead. Feels odd saying that.
