Everyone knows what it is. Israel had my sympathy at the start of the war and the victims of the Hamas attack and their families still do but the Israeli government have gone way too far.

I detest antisemitism but have long called out false claims of antisemitism.

UN declarations don’t matter though, nor do the Geneva Conventions or the International Criminal Court’s judgments. It doesn’t seem to be an inability to enforce them but a total unwillingness. (The USA true to typically arrogant form doesn’t even recognise the ICC). No one would argue that the events of 7 October 23 weren’t heinous. However Israel’s conduct since has shown no regard for the safeguards that were put in place after WWII to prevent a reoccurrence of the appalling atrocities and war crimes that occurred then. It comes as no surprise that Trump or his lunatic sycophants have no moral compass on this issue but I’m appalled at the UK and the rest of Europe’s lack of action particularly as the UK and France can bear the most responsibility for sowing the seeds for the Middle Eastern geopolitical climate of the past hundred years. It’s a despicable situation.

I doubt it. Hamas have now got many thousands more "martyrs" they can use to boost recruitment and fundraising.
Most of them innocent people caught in the fighting. But to the Hamas leadership (sitting in Doha, Tehran or somewhere else other than Gaza) their cause and hold on power are obviously much more important then the lives of Palestinians. No better than Netanyahu and his crew.

You shouldn't be surprised. It's a tried and tested operation.
Criticism of the crazy genocidal monster of the day or its supporters is presented by our power structures and media as dangerous antisomethingism or even as apology for terrorism. Any investigation into why this is, will only reveal that many " antisomethingic tropes" are in fact stark realities.
So the vast majority remain silent. And this silence is desired by those who are committing these atrocities.
In the months, years and generations to come we will say again the things that we've been saying for the last three generations or more:

Chris Sidoti spoke very clearly on the Today Programme this morning. I don’t normally listen but happened to have it on. There was a slight cringe moment when the interviewer tried to ‘balance’ it by asking him to refute the Israeli claims the UN are a Hamas proxy, but he knocked back that nonsense very firmly using evidence.
There really shouldn’t be any doubt now that the Israeli state is conducting genocide despite their ongoing denials.

I have never really understood why some presenters feel the need to balance out conversations when it's blooming clear what's going on. Just say what's really happening and maybe things would start to change rather than pandering
