Indeed - neither of those were even NATO led operations, it’s a defensive pact. There was a NATO peacekeeping force after the invasion. Not to mention her favoured Russia had a costly occupation of Afghanistan too. Ukraine, Georgia, Syria, and Chechnya being outside NATO has brought them loads of peace, wages, and welfare of course.
