Car braking problem suddenly stops. 17:56 - Sep 21 with 2171 views | Mercian | My front passengers side front wheel was loudly squeaking when I applied the brakes and making a cruching sound when I braked hard, I also had a crunching sound when I applied the brakes hard. I also had a warnig light on the dash I had a look at the pads through the wheels and now all three issues have stopped and the brakes seem to be working perfectly. I am thinking I may have loosened something trapped between the pad and the disk. Does anyone who has any knowledge of such issues offer any advice. Thanks. [Post edited 21 Sep 17:56]

Agree. I have had that a couple of times. It sounds horrendous at the time but then it drops out and all seems well. But it may have damaged the disc. Best just to get it looked at to be safe.

Cornflakes sound likely as they’re definitely crunchy. I think we can rule out Rice Krispies as those would more likely to produce a snap, crackle or pop.

Car braking problem suddenly stops. on 09:19 - Sep 22 with 839 views | Freddies_Ears | It's grim oop North... coming out of Blackburn, I had a tyre pressure warning. Luckily, modern tech informed me each tyre was about 10% low. I drove on. Checked an hour later, and 2 of the tyres were now OK (driver's side, probably cos I'm a fat git). An hour later, and the warning light went off. Obvs, temperature-related. It did make me wonder what tolerance I should allow, if 2.2 bar - 2.4 bar variation happens in a single trip.

I had a similar warning driving around the Mourne mountains,it seems tyre pressure’s don’t like altitude either👍
