Yes, 100%, said the same to my mate at the Pompey game. He looks every bit a #9 to me. Probably not this season with Hirst and Ivan around (injuries permitting) but he does seem to be in the Delap mould to me and has a turn of pace as well. |  | | |

So did Omari, neither are line hugging wingers really. I am sure he will play in field eventually. I don't think he would fit what is McKenna's interpretation of what a 9 is and does. He is not the battering ram to keep central defenders occupied. I think there is a little of the Bergkamp about him. I like his movement and reading of the game. | | | |

Think we have to play him RW due to the lack of other options. Mcateer just isn't good enough at the moment and while we could play like we switched to yesterday (Clarke left, Billy Jean right), I think JP is just too good on the left right now to move him.
I think at the moment we'd use Akpom as 3rd choice CF.
I'm looking forward to following SWE's development though. He looks like hes got the skills. Just needs to work on his decisions of when to shoot (I think every shot he has had had been blocked so far), when to take his man on, when to pass, when to cross etc and he will be a very good player. | |

Not sure tbh. But I do believe if we achieve Premier League status or maybe even by the January transfer window we need, dependent on our league position another centre forward.
Watching the Norwich match Hirst made many excellent runs and whilst his pass across the area was good he didn't look up to see that nobody was making a run. In his defence they should have been, but maybe a shot would have been a better idea.
