Cajuste on the Waterfront after the game… 18:35 - Oct 7 with 3791 viewsITFC_Forever

Assume he was trying to keep a low profile walking home, but he was rumbled multiple times.

Fair play to him, people were high-fiving him and asking him for pics with their kids etc and he was more than happy to engage and oblige.

Helpful that people were respectful as well, a quick high-five or pic and then left him alone.

Just as well he wasn't a Norwich player as high sixing everyone may have taken longer.

He would have known it’s not the place for a quiet sunday stroll.
If he is going down to walk past 500+ drunk town supporters he should stop for every single kid who asked and take pics and sign stuff.

I disagree that he ‘should’ stop. He’s just done a days graft in what I imagine for everyone involved was very stressful both before and during. Lot of nervous energy and tension would’ve been used before they even got on the pitch.

To say he ‘should’ stop is abit unfair. I know he’s well paid etc but if he felt like respectfully saying ‘sorry lads I’m abit knackered, another time would be great’, then I personally think that is absolutely ok.

Is he ever knackered?

There is every possibility that he wanted to go down and soak up the atmosphere a bit. He clearly didn't want to be the centre of attention, from how people describe it, but he knows days like that are special in a footballer's career and may well have wanted to keep the buzz going a bit longer.

Pleased for him, he's a talented lad and he hasn't really found his home and roots in football yet, so let's hope it's here with us for a good while yet.

I find it good that a player can live in the community without being overly hassled. I recall as a youngster seeing John Wark in a cafe in Ipswich when I was there with my Mum. I wanted to go and get his autograph but my Mum said that he should be left alone to eat.

I genuinely think Jens comes across as the most worldly aware and astute member of the squad. He’s played in multiple countries - and subsequently sampled various cultures. Has mixed heritage parents - and generally seems like nothing phases him. Good on him for embracing the moment - and appeasing the masses. Very grounded guy - and absolute credit to the club traditions and heritage. Diamond guy.

We happened to be walking beside him as was approaching home....like OP says was very happy to engage and everyone was indeed respectful. He even said see you later to the kids as he walked into the entrance of where he's living. Class from everyone.

I remember passing by a cafe and Titus Bramble was sitting at a table nr. the window, I just gave him the nod and he smiled back, bet he was glad I left him alone, but why sit where everyone could see him ?

'Ah, good afternoon Mr Bramble, I'm afraid the table at the back of the café by the door to the toilets that you requested was already taken...'

My Mum used to work in Newsteads Bakery next to the Falcon, where she would regularly serve Mariner, Wark, Osman and her special little favourite who always got an extra cream cake, Gatesy.

Shame he missed us outside the Waterfront, he'd have been more than welcome to joy us for a glass of red whilst listening to Ire-J (spelling might be incorrect)
