Thinking back Hirsts chance that he passed was identical position to the one Stead buried in 2009 at PR in the last Derby we won ?

The only Muff in Town.

Kinda what I was saying the other day:

5x5 - Norwich City (H) by Chris_ITFC 6 Oct 12:06
He’s unselfish and I love him for it, but a Hirst full of confidence shoots from here:

Just look where he shot from vs the Blades!

He came out after Pompey and said he hadn’t played well, then missed a few chances yesterday before that and got 1 or 2 big moans.

Cut me a little slack - 5 negatives weren’t easy to find! [grin]

My head would’ve been on fcuking Mars if we had gone on to drawn that game because of this.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

What baffles me about this

The goal v sheff utd he should have actually passed yet this one he's passed it to casper when he should have scored.

Come on hirsty. Love what you do off the ball. One of the best at that role. But finishing is unfortunately this season very poor for the quality of side we are putting together. Can't have a striker missing opportunities every game from 6 yards out.

Two games in a row with 3 missed sitters.

I only bring it up because people are quick to discuss greaves or faults of oshea but its not seen as acceptable to mention hirsts lack of finishing as a problem.

a niche perspective

That very goal was in my mind just as Hirst was bearing down on the 'keeper.

At the time I assumed it must have been some sh*thousery from their defender shouting to square it or something.

It was a tough angle but he has it in him to score from there so was an odd choice

Judging by these images, Stead's situation was even slightly harder, a bit narrower angle with a defender much closer to him.

Semper fidelis!

I'm floating the theory that he saw Egeli but couldn't see that little boy who was playing left back because he was hidden behind Cordoba.

Odd that he would pass, when he shot and scored from an even tighter angle against Sheff Utd. Good thing it didn't matter in the end.
