This thread brings back great memories from my youth.
Although I wasn't a Witches fan, I was a regular at Mildenhall in the late 70s early 80s.
I remember the three team tournaments against Kings Lynn and the Witches. Chris Louie, Dave Jessup, Michael Lee etc. Very fond memories of those days.

Speedway used to massive back in the day, kids wanted to be Tiger Louis or Shrimp Davey in the playground.
Now it's on life support. Doesn't even make "Other Sports" now on bbc or sky. Perhaps it missed out on innovations that might have made races more interesting. I don't think there will be a national league by the end of the decade. |  |
