Remember when there was a lot of ITK talk about we were in for him in the summer and loads of TWTDers cried about it?

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Poll: With Evans taking 65% in Huddersfield, is the Banter Era over?

Interesting. I'm not going to undiv this entity to see exactly what it has produced this time. As I remember, it was producing ridiculous long-winded anti-Ipswich bile and I was 99% convinced it was some sad budgie troll, but if it's promoting drink-driving now I guess maybe it's just a sick individual.

If it gets to keep its log-in credentials I heartily recommend everybody except the other trolls div listing it and letting it disappear up its own jacksi.

He's not exactly promoting drink driving... but suggesting our club is morally bankrupt and therefore hypocritical to not want Oli McBurnie as a player - highlighting misdemeanors of our past players and even manager (I'm not sure how NOT joining other clubs is morally banrupt) as being just as bad as anything Mr. McBurnie has done.

And yes, he's taken it to the extreme (as always) - in this case stating "Myopic, double standards, hypocrisy. Our manager agreed to leave for Palace .., and Brighton…, a far worse crime than drink driving."

I normally don't read their lengthy diatribes and just throw a downarrow and move on, but that genuinely shocked me.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Isn’t the literal point of this message board to get reactions out of people

Not in the way you do it.

Not really a gotcha given our current form and goal return. Besides we’ve always played a system which is reliant on goals from a no. 9. Very much doubt he’d have returned so many goals playing for us (character aside).

A good player … I don’t think anyone doubted that … but very suspect character and the reason why a number of people were concerned about him joining.

Having had to support a team with Lee Bowyer, Ben Thatcher and Michael Chopra in it, I am happy that we passed on McBurnie.

There are players who are controversial because they are "Pantomime Villains". Robbie Savage would be in that category. If they play for your team you love them, if they are playing against you, you "hate" them.

I have no problem with Town signing players like that. I mean, we'd all say "Thank goodness Robbie Savage never played for us", but if he had signed for us we would have loved his wind up merchant antics.

Then there are players who are thugs who seem to go out of their way to hurt the opposition. Kevin Muscat was one in the recent past. Ben Thatcher, because of the Pedro Mendes incident in particular, fell into that category for me.

I don't like players like that playing for Town. We're not that kind of Club.

Then there are players who have done really bad things, or are of general morally bad character.

Chopra was an ill addict. I had no problem with Town offering him a fresh start and support. But he repaid that by, according to reports, having gangsters turn up at the club training ground and, allegedly, he told them that a team mate was "Michael Chopra", putting that person at risk. He broke the trust that the Club had put in him.

Lee Bowyer had a particularly bad conviction to his name even before the more famous "Leeds United Youth Team players almost kicked to death an Asian student and Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate fled the scene" incident.

I was sickened when Ipswich gave him a contract.

I want players to play for Ipswich who understand that this has always been a family and community Club, and who will work to promote the reputation of the Club, on and off the pitch.

The fact that the owners moved Norwood on after his convictions suggests that reports linking us to McBurnie were coming from the agent rather than the Club. The current owners take the "Community Asset" nature of the Club as a key part of the brand and a major contributor of intangible value to ITFC.

Good summary.

Darkhorse has given more proof, if needed, that he's a budgie. Supporters of thuggery. They still haven't parted ways with Duffy, many calling for his inclusion in the team, and there having been many calling for their players to break Nunez's leg/end his career.

No Town supporter would sink to such depths of depravity. There is no place for the likes of Darkhorse on this forum.

I don’t think he is worryingly.

Even a trolling budgie wouldn’t spend 20-30 mins writing out those mad ramblings trying to get a rise out of us!

I think he’s just barmy and writing everything out on paper is therapeutic for him.
