That’s the game where we now know the top 2 is not realistic 21:59 - Oct 17 with 3373 viewsbillabasblue

We are a long way off top two level ,
I think if we can get the play offs this season that would be decent.

Egli is not a championship starter yet and looks like a waste of money , Akpom offers nothing , SS looks like a man who is totally lost and has no confidence , Hirst is woeful and Azon must be our first choice now his looked much better than Hirst ! Nunez looked a lot better than Cajuste tonight and must start Tuesday !

Worst performance of the season and levels below the required standard

Early days. My main concern is the forward line. Stop Philogene and what do we have. Hirst is a player that is put in to hold the ball up and as with last season where we mainly relied on Delap and whilst it can be considered more difficult to play against Premier class defenders many games he was unable to plough a loan forough
Whilst I like Szmodics he isn't scoring goals and Hirst is not as good as Delap and it's very doubtful he will ever be a 20 goal a season player.
That number 10 position has never been sorted. Broadhead was a decent player, but he couldn't nail a place down.
Morsy chipped in with a few goals where I have my doubts that Cajuste and Matisuwa will score many,
These aren't moans they are just my take on what we have and how we are playing.
I hope Azone or Akpom can step up.

Well you are missing one thing we don't play all our games away from home.

Ok so will we get automatic promotion based on home form alone ? When did a side last go up automatically not winning away ?

Total overreaction.

Be honest mate, we aren’t a top 2 side no way, not even top 6 at the moment.

Since the transfer window closed - and we had a very disruptive window - we've taken 10 points from 5 games and are third in form table. How does that make us not even a top 6 side at the moment?

We currently have a game in hand. If we win that game (which we should on a playable pitch), we are in the top six.
Suggesting that we are not a top 6 side at the moment is just complete negativity.

And winning one game in hand to put us in the top six at the moment doesn’t mean we are a top six side either. We aren’t we are very very average at best.

I think we are overhyped and overrated. Coventry are showing us how it should be done scoring goals and looking defensively tight. Last night provided an ideal opportunity to make a statement win and we came up short. I agree, I don’t think we are good enough to finish top 2 on our showings so far this season. We’ve played 3 of the current top 8 and gained 1pt. We just don’t look like a team at this point in time.

Poll: Where are we going to finish?

I don't understand why this post has received so many down votes.

KMc always says to focus on performances. Well our performances this season have been largely poor.

Yes there are 37 matches remaining. But I see nothing to suggest we're going to average over 2 points-per-game and finish in the top 2.

I also don't think it's 'bedwetting' to be asking questions after 9 matches.

So being in the top 6 wouldn't mean we're a top 6 side but your absolute guff opinion does mean we're not a top 6 side? Thanks for clarifying.

If we don't win away all season then you'll probably be right. However, we've only had 4 away games. So it's a bit early to be wetting your knickers about it.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
