Good on 'em I say.

I like Forest as a club but if there was ever an owner who deserved relegation....

Fair play to Sunderland recruited well and quickly gelled a new team, I have to say I thought they'd likely finish in bottom two but look very likely to stay up now.

What lessons can we learn from this?

They've looked at previous seasons and where other clubs have got it wrong - that's what you do, learn from others.

Good luck to them

As I’ve stated n another thread, anyone who wants to use this stat to bash our manager is more than welcome to transfer their support to Sunderland.

How about that sport is not an exact science?

They’ve done brilliantly. Congratulations to them. I’m really pleased for a good chum of mine who is dealing with cancer.

I've been very impressed by them and am hoping that it can offer us a pathway should we go up.

Yep, they have already showed up our approach last season. They seem to have got their recruitment right. To win the Play Offs and having less time to prepare, you have to take your hat off to them. To be quite honest, the 3 promoted sides are doing a far better job of it than in previous seasons.

How did they learn from others? They already had a Premier League infrastructure including recruitment having spent a long time in it. They took £30m for Bellingham and spent much of it and the tv loot on oldish established players.

They actually took a risk in that had they started badly or picked up injuries, there would be little future value in them - so my mackem mates told me. It looks like it’s come off for them. They have blended really well which for a new team is very rare. Brilliant. Well done them.

I’m not sure there’s anything much to learn but I’m sure if they’ve done anything spectacularly different, other clubs will learn from it.

Why are people obsessed with this? Sunderland had years in the Championship. Leeds and Burnley were recently in the Prem.

We popped up from L1 in back to back promotions after 3 years of being a mid table L1 side preceded by an abject championship relegation.

They’ve done better than us, and so they should too

They've given themselves a good chance to stay up, but they're playing in a league thats of a much lower quality than we were in laat year, with a nice fixture list. It is what it is, but these comparisons are useless.
