We lost to West Brom after 17 games, just our second defeat, we had won 13 games and lost just 2 after matchday 17.

Those games were largely outliers that season. WBA, Leeds and the first half at Preston. Whilst the December-January period was quite sluggish, by and large we bounced back from setbacks well.
This season, we haven't got into our stride at all and are largely reliant on individual brilliance rather than a cohesive unit. |  |

long way to go, results in October are never pivotal, still well in touch. I don't think it a strong Championship this year. I do not think the current formation is working away, leaving way too much responsibility on a 2 man midfield as we are not defending as a team. Asking Walli and Philogene to defend wide allowing the full backs to come inside to do defensive work is a fail. If you are a full back it is your job to handle wingers and channel runs. When we played with natural 10s they dropped centrally to help out the midfield, not happening now so much though Szmodics does help out well. | | | |
