Joe Sheehan 16:26 - Oct 19 with 1486 views | harrygunter | Been a very poor start to the season for us, is it time start questioning whether Joe is the man for the job? Or does he have enough credit in the bank to give him another month or so?

I thought we essentially were full-time now?

And still they don’t actually play in Ipswich. An absurd situation.

I think that the aim would have been to finish above bottom place which would secure WSL2 survival. From the interviews following the promotion clinching match against Cheltenham, it would certainly appear that Sheehan was under pressure to achieve promotion last season.
Joe Sheehan on 18:35 - Oct 19 with 969 views | Mark | I just don't think we signed enough quality players to compete at WSL2 level, plus the team are asked to play in Colchester when most WSL2 teams play in their home towns. Perhaps we can add to the squad in January and finish ahead of Portsmouth to stay up. Pompey cancelled their League Cup match today as they didn't have enough fit players.

Isn’t the improved training ground going to have a new small stadium on site? With the women’s team playing there? Long term they will play in Ipswich, just not short term. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think that may be the case, but haven't seen it confirmed. The deal with Colchester Utd is for two seasons. So far the three WSL2 away games have been in the men's stadiums (St Mary's, the Valley and Bramall Lane).

Joe Sheehan on 08:27 - Oct 20 with 408 views | BeachBlue | I've followed Ipswich Town FC Women's team for about 5 years now. I can tell you first hand, playing teams that had been relegated, like Watford, Oxford United, Lewes (away) showed that the gulf between WSL2 and (effectively) division 3 was massive. Replacing the manager won't change the lack of experience the players have at this level, nor will it solve the injury list. Yes I admit I maybe seeing it from a sentimental point of view. But I don't believe anyone could work harder than Joe Sheehan is right now. I may be wrong, this is just an opinion.

Joe Sheehan on 08:38 - Oct 20 with 376 views | Kievthegreat | The team is where you'd expect them to be. Only disappointment will be the loss in Sheffield. That's who we'll be competing with to stay up so would have been nice to get a result. Most games they are going to be outgunned and it will take time and a few windows before Town can get more competitive at this level. I think the only complaint about Joe Sheehan will be the time it took to get out of the 3rd tier. However it's difficult in a league with only 1 promotion spot.
