We’re only 12 pts off the top, 4 games and we could be sitting pretty!

Only if there’s a biblical four week deluge in Lancashire and everyone above us is playing Blackburn away.

It does sound daft, but I've had some proper sht going on in the last few years with work and in my personal life. I found it much easier to deal with when we were flying and I could go to FPR and just switch off the outside world. Last season, and some moments this season has made it much more difficult. It really does have an effect on your mental well being, particularly if you're properly invested. Silly, isn't it. Still, I remain optimistic.
| You lot cheered up yet? on 09:23 - Oct 23 with 618 views | Bramidan | Sometimes when you really feel like sh1t your football team playing well, not necessarily winning, can really give you a lift. When it is dismal and error strewn and players seemingly are not making an effort it really p1sses you off, especially if there is a budgie close by taking the proverbial about how much money we spent. Could be worse though they are in a worse state! | | | |

I'd look for other things aside from ITFC to bring you some joy fella. I went through a similar thing under the Evans/McCarthy era where following Town just wasnt bringing me any joy so I took up a couple of other pursuits. Relying on watching Town to give your mental health a boost is probably not wise!

Good advice. I know its no secret, but exercise is the one for me, the feeling after a run/ride/workout is hard to beat. That and Class A drugs, proper escapism.... bliss.

| You lot cheered up yet? on 11:51 - Oct 23 with 349 views | Linners | I'm still very fed-up, I won't lie, but... I met my best mate at 6th form in the early 90s. He was introduced to me as another Ipswich fan as we were a rare commodity at the time. We've been going to games ever since and many times on long journeys to Wrexham, Middlesborough, Grimsby etc. we'd joke about sitting in the Cobbold when we're old with flasks of tea, boiled sweets and a blanket on our knees. I turned 50 on Tuesday night and I sat in the Cobbold with him on one side and my 14yo son on the other. It's a proper, deep joy to be able to recognise moments like that when they come along. Still annoyed though... | | | |

I don't rely on it. I'm saying it can make a difference.
