I don't really know if the sentencing guidelines are wrong, or the decisions were wrong, I just know it doesn't make sense that threats of violence are worse than violence. | |

it's not just the threat it's the incitement of others. if words are intended to incite others and are likely to incite violence then it's serious stuff. but 'if' is a big word in this. |  |

Yes i was generalising there. If the person wasn't on twitter but using the same words through a megaphone directly outside the hotel the sentence would be more fitting.
