I’ll take a knee and some time off the site. Maybe forever. Almost certainly forever.

I’ve supported the club for 45 years. Man and boy. But don’t want my opinions to spoil the enjoyment of others on the forum. Phil does an amazing job and don’t want to put him in a difficult position either.., it’s hard enough on here.

I will say the bullying, the hate, and the ‘one view or be destroyed’ tribalism on here at times is frankly pathetic…, the same people complaining about online hate, desperate to indulge in online hate. It’s interesting.

Their egos not capable of processing they could be wrong about McKenna, and don’t worry, you don’t know who you are, because there’s almost zero self awareness.

I only stated my opinion, based on facts…, I’ve a huge amount of time for KM, less so Mark Ashton, and KM sadly in context is the architect of his own downfall.

You can’t leverage so much investment, deliver so little with it, and still be a young manager needing patience, sadly, that’s not how football works today. We aren’t good relative to our investment, that’s doesn’t seem like conjecture anymore. Results sadly don’t lie. But the messenger has to be destroyed, it’s predictable, easier for many than dealing with the facts in front of us.

To those desperate to create an echo chamber…, with no alternative voices, that feels warm, safe, comforting, and makes you feel good about what may or may not be true.

You win.

Fingers crossed for promotion, I’d like new owners with real football oversight, that’s where the issues really are, we deserve to be established in the premier league, and I’ll never apologise for wanting that. I don’t see us as league one, I never will, we (almost) never have been. We DO deserve people not to hide behind that brief period, like it’s a shield to scrutiny.

And to my ‘many’ haters, good luck.

You won’t get the right answers by never listening, or exploring alternative views.

But ignorance is bliss…, you might be in a happy place.., and maybe that’s all that counts.., so enjoy that and good luck. And I hope you’re all right about Ashton being world class, I really do, that would be amazing.

UPPA TOWN

Right .., Ian Marshall Wig, check, Romeo Zondernan Fisons shirt and a copy of Mick Mcgivens guide to defensive shape …, and they said pretending to be an Ipswich fan would be cheap. Pfft.

Enjoy the ride chaps.

When I buy the club…, none of you will be banned, but some will be made to watch Mark Ashton play 5 aside in his Cyril Regis shirt.., just saying.

Do you not understand that these forums have massive sway these days? You’ve killed it. We may go on to bigger better things, who knows? Your bitching and whining on here is picked up and has a massive ripple effect. Fking knobs the lot of you. For weeks you’ve been stamping your feet like little girls and it gets picked up when all you needed to do was ride it out for a bit. Pathetic. Cook always comes good, he always has done, talk to any Pompey, Wigan or Chesterfield fan.

I’m in Pompey tonight and they’re all shaking their heads. Dkheads the lot of you. Happy to get banned on the back of this. You’re ridiculous. The ramifications are massive which may be placated with money but fk me; learn to kick a ball and know what you’re talking about before you lash out in anger.

A massive shame and a massive shame on you. Cook is working hard. What are you doing other than idly pointing fingers and drawing on nonsense stats.

Nothing but contempt for you lot and your baseless insights into football when you’ve never even kicked a ball.

I don't hate you DH but I do find your posts excrutiatingly tedious. But it's a football forum and you're posting about football stuff even if I think it's complete bobbins.
I don't think you're a budgie troll either. I just can't imagine any supporter of another club going to all the trouble to post the lengthy diatribes you seem insistent on posting. More fool you if you are and you need to get out more.
I may have responded to a few of your posts in the past, but I don't think you ever really engage in any meaningful dialogue, so haven't bothered in ages. A quick downie and move on does me these days.
I can understand why others take issue with your posts, especially as you don't seem interested in debate. You just park a statement and that's pretty much it.
Not sure what your drive or intention is, but I generally skim read just to ensure you haven't slipped up and forgotten to mention £200 somewhere within the ramblings.
I have to say that I don't find your posts particularly offensive as you talk about stuff that doesn't really matter in the real world.
The things I really find offensive here are generally from the apologists for the far right agenda.
That stuff really matters and is dangerous.
By all means keep on doing you DH, but equally remember that every action has a positive or negative reaction, which I think has been laid bare in the incredible10 pages both threads have unfathomably accumulated.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

I have upvoted most of your posts and will be sad not to see any more of them, should you decide to leave.

Your turn of phrase and insight will be missed.

Most people on here are still emotionally invested in KMK and MA after the promotion seasons. They are also incapable of setting out their point of view with as much erudition, and at length, as you can. So they attack. I wish that there were more tolerance of conflicting views on the site.

The club has dug a big hole for itself in overpaying for KMKs contract, and he has become unsackable (whether the club remain happy with him or not). As you said, Celtic could not afford him. He has made himself unwanted by any other club due to the poor recent record. So he has to keep putting in those long hours at the club to make us successful, in spite of a difficult atmosphere at PR. We are a soft touch, that issue remains. All the goals we concede are soft. The gap between Championship and Premier League is one we couldn't bridge, and we will continue to pay for the temerity of daring to dip our toe in the hot water for the first time in more than 20 years.

We talk about overpaying for players ("needing 3 times the investment to be able to compete") but that is because players go "Ipswich who" when they learn of our interest in them. They've just never heard of us. So we have had to make do with lower level additions to the squad. And we've overpaid, so we will be stuck with them, as we could shower money like confetti.

KMK's error was to think we could attract the level of player he needs to make us competitive now, and next season in the Premier League if we are going to get back there. If he hadn't thought we could attract great players, then why did he not leave when the Premier League came calling two summers ago. Is he weak? Stayed for loyalty but there was so little chance of us staying up. Victim of circumstances.

I'd have thought someone with so much "insight" would have used a bit more intelligence in his/her responses.
