It’s the same every game and has been throughout his time here. Even when he’s had poor or average games you can pretty much guarantee that whether the ball is in the air or on the ground, left foot, right foot, thigh, chest, head, wherever, he’ll have it under control immediately. | |

He does deal with the wild ones you wouldn't expect, which is down to his phenomenal individual ability - that isn't in doubt.
But also at least 3 times in the first half, his second touch was a tackle because his first was so poor, and on one occasion on the inside left his first touch was so poor it literally bounced 8-10 yards off him.
He's a talented boy, doesn't do enough consistently. He's a modern day footballer, a show pony, will have a fantastic YouTube highlight reel at the end of the season, but not my sort of player, doesn't fit our team, doesn't fit our style. | | | |

Muhren and Thijssen were magical players, it was a privilege to watch them, they’d make every “best ever” Ipswich team and I’m never going to say anything negative about either of them. On the one specific aspect I’ve mentioned though I’d argue Jaden is at least their equal. The fact you’ve has to go back 45 years to name a player is a huge compliment in itself. Yes, both him and Clarke have the wander lust - I think it was what upset Matusiwa. Drifting across the face looking for the perfect shot; losing the bladder, and then leaving the rest to win it all back. I'd like to see that after we are in front; not chasing a goal....

Yes really. He has his flaws, many aspects of his game are inconsistent but he’s young and that’s why he’s playing in the championship rather than the top level. The ease with which he brings the ball under control is exceptional. | |
