All the pantomime nationalist stuff aside it was pretty telling they didn't really back or believe in their team did they? In the pub though, loveliest lot of people for ages. One old boy came over especially on leaving the pub just to wish us a safe journey. Lots of good chat before that with locals and no both whatsoever.

I mean I was just having a quiet pint with Snr and a curry (which was violently hot and not mentioned on the menu) they seemed fine with it.

I did look out for you and Snr at HT, but couldn't spot where you were sitting.

The confusingly named upper tier. We were nearer their fans about a block in. Likewise I was down at half time but didn’t spot yourself or anyone else

It used to be like that (when they were noisy) much more often, but as you could see and hear they’ve lost their spirit. The crowd’s been dropping off over the last couple of years and they’ve been struggling down the bottom half of the table on and off for a few years now. The new owners that came in last season seem to be improving things, but slowly. [Post edited 9 Nov 14:51]

Their twitter feed was incredibly down about Sheehan They started the season with some positivity having made a few signings, clearly that bubble has burst

They were loving their win over Forest where Burgess scored a few weeks ago. Stadium was raucus that day.

It was a bizarre summer over here. There were huge expectations off the back of a few signings nobody knew anything about. Now those expectations are biting them in the arse. Cam started ok and Galbraith has been good generally, but nobody else has had much of an impact. Their mood is up and down like a yoyo. One minute they wanted Sheehan now most seem to want him out. They remind me of us under Evans and they’re just starting to hit that toxic phase will people abandoning the club. There’s very little good will in the bank and people are so quick to turn when they’re up against it.

| Swansea fans on 17:01 - Nov 9 with 266 views | DJR | One thing I will say is that the train journey from Cardiff to Swansea (looking north) is the most scenic of any I have taken to football matches all over the place. Indeed, travelling by train from London to games makes one realise how flat much of England is. Obviously that is not true if one crosses the Pennines, but that is not the way I travel to game. The only journey which comes close is that from Chesterfield to Sheffield (on the line from St Pancras), which takes in the edges of the Peak District. [Post edited 9 Nov 17:02]

Sheehan did actually alter things positively at half-time but they're not on the same playing field as us with personel They are upset they have spent £20 million and aren't seeing the results when one of our subs costs that much
