we seem to flog Davis to death and are reluctant to take players off when they are clearly struggling. Wes Burns, Hirst against Leicester in our promotion season. Rushed back Harness and he wasn't anywhere near his first half of the season form. |
when we do try and rest our players to prevent injuries, we get loads of moaners complaining that you should never change a winning team!
with szmods, we certainly haven't overplayed him this year... |  |

He's been carrying injuries for sometime to be totally fair to Sammy.

I never get this nonsense
You do realise players have a say in this too. If Sammie (or Leif) feel they were weren't ready or were risking getting a more serious injury by coming back too early etc or playing with a niggle they are able to declare that. It's a joint decison betweeen club and player, they are not forced to play with injury. Sure players want to play as they don't want to lose their place.
Especially regarding Sammie, it's not like we are short of options for someone else to start in his position.
Its clear Leif has been asked in many games if he is ok to carry on when he's hobbled away from a challenge or it's late on and they player himself has indicated he wants to continue.
Frnaly the Ireland manager to shut up, they are not his employee and it's not their call to male, it's between Sammie and ITFC.
And like some have said, if the Irish manager does want to query anything he should direct this to the club rather than run his mouth off to press. Deeply unprofessional, probably trying to deflect attention away frrom how crap his team have been. They're not great Ireland but they are massivley underperforming from the level they should be at under his tenure. |  |
