In fairness he isn't trying to pass the copies off as originals. He states it's a Coppa shirt. Whoever ironed on the umbro logo isn't a Town fan that's for sure. Would have been just as easy to iron on a adidas transfer.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

A parallel dimension, when did Umbro get big on the scene out of interest?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Umbro made our shirts in the 70s prior to Adidas.

It's not the right Pioneer text either though, the font is wrong and it is too small. Think there are too many pin strips too.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Yes. Umbro and Admiral were the big players in the 70's before adidas came on the UK scene in a big way. We went to adidas just as umbro upped their branding with the diamonds down the sleeves. Then they took over the England shits when admiral wnet away/under? until Nike took over.

Of course we went back to umbro in 89 when the adidas contract ran out.

I love our adidas shirts but would have liked a Town kit with the diamond sleeves like Everton. But I have great memories of the admiral kits from Southampton, Coventry and Wales. Kits had more character back then imo.

And the Copa label and the 'Made in Europe' label look rather poorly stitched in too.

I wish we would have stayed with adidas longer before we went to umbro in the late 80s/90s, just so we could have worn the Ipswich template kit which was the beautiful Holland 88 kit, blue and white for home and the OG Holland as the orange away kit
