I was trying to work out who the OP meant. In recent times, I could only think of Hutchinson and longer ago Walters. I would happily applaud both of them as well as Broadhead. Hutchinson's decision not to play was a poor one but he still contributed a lot when he did play and we got a good fee for him too.
Broadhead was clearly far from in favour here, in the last year of his contract and we were clearly happy to sell.
I wonder how the OP feels about Szmodics who refused to play for Blackburn in order to force a move here. |  |

Beyond that he was the ultimate professional, despite being bombed out for worse players despite the contributions he’d made to get us to the PL.
I’d have the hump too.
