That is a very good point. When. Farage was growing up he'd be exposed to shows like 'Love Thy Neighbour' and racist comedians like Bernard Manning. It would be very surprising of he didn't engage in that sort of racist humour as a young teen.

I am not convinced that highlighting views that Farage had 50 years ago does anything more than confirm the views of people that oppose him that he is a wrong'un, whilst at the same having no impact on those who might vote for him.
What should be taking place is a rebuttal of the narrative that Farage is currently peddling.
Instead, we have both the Tories and Labour feeding into his narrative and thus doing Farage's job for him.
For what it is worth, I am not convinced that Farage wants to be PM, partly because of the effort it would involve and partly because he surely knows that the MPs elected for Reform would be a bit of a shower.
Therefore, I could see him entering into some sort of pact with the Tories as he did in 2019, and either settling for a Cabinet post, or even walking away completely, having achieved what he set out to do with the hardening of policies in relation to migration. [Post edited 25 Nov 8:00]
