I've got a very underused pair of full leather Meindle boots which I'm just not using. They are fully waterproof & were comfortable when I last put them on. Size 9 - 91/2.

Just one small point regarding Goretex. It will keep the water out but they don't breathe well and sweat will cause your feet to get wet anyway, if you're walking long distance. Once Goretex boots are wet, they can take days to dry properly.
A few hikers I know wear light trail runners because they dry much quicker.

Waterproof socks are similar but if you want light shoes that will dry quickly but don't want instantly wet feet, they're a godsend. Excellent Christmas list items!

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

No idea about boots but if you want a good pair of wellies go for Bekina (Steplite x personally). Like the top of the range Landcruiser of the wellie world.

Warm, excellent grip and last years

Jeez Patrick I can’t walk 10’000 steps in wellygogs!

I noticed Yesterday when I was walking it’s walking through long grass just as much as puddles and mud how the water is coming in.

The boots I have cost Β£60 that doesn’t seem enough πŸ™„πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ

Sealskin socks are suitable here, though will anyone think of the seals?

Or you could take them back and face the consequences! Man up Benters.

These aren't like a crap pair of Dunlops or Compos wellies buh. There warm and comfy, i walk for miles through very wet land a few days a week in um during winter (obviously in the summer the North West of Ireland is so warm, dry and sunny I just wear a light slip on Italian loafer..) and there comfy and warm as hell. I've had the same pair for 8 years, just renew the insoles every year or 2.

Bekina wellies and Tunnocks Teacakes are the only products I'm a brand ambassador for .
