Yep - and almost exactly like McKenna said it would be a few games in.

Would realllike to see us go on a serious unbeaten run now.

Yep! If only our supporters listened to KM. Every interview he is so honest and articulate.

He knows exactly what we need.

Or... minimal rotation brings back to back wins. Two clean sheets...

Just jesting.

If we can find that striker somehow in jan i think it will go a long way to getting us over the finish line this season.

a niche perspective

Haha. Don't worry - there will be changes on Sat!

I think we will win the league. But in a way it's more exciting just seeing KM moulding this side and us growing in confidence.

I'm not sure about the striker. I know what you mean but I think KM might be better off keeping on working on getting Chuba to fire like we know he can. I love Hirst and I think him and Azon are enough.

They really aren't.
I think you believe he could coach anyone to be a top level player.
He is human you know

I would say yes for 95% of the time, with the other 5% us trying everything we can to self implode, which happened again twice tonight via the weird long throw in and another Azor misplaced pass, which are becoming a bit of a worry the rate they are occuring.

The team has gelled in the sense of being solid and having a spine to it which I guess is the starting point. Still not convinced at all by our patterns of attacking play and passing cohesion (or lack thereof) but at least we look capable of grinding out narrow wins now

Hard to be critical after two wins and no goals against but what things do you think are coming together other than defence tightening up, not looking for an argument, just curious.

For a home side possession stats (not that I am huge fan of them) are not great in last two games, we still lack that killer instinct in final third, luckily Philly found another banger.

We played Coventry with some players out and a Stoke team who just got beat 4-0 so maybe we lucked out a little timing wise.

Not taking anything away from the wins but other than defensively not sure much else has changed i.e. midfield struggled at times and link up between front players not quite there but some of the finishing tonight again was pretty wild.

You say “not taking anything away from the wins” … but then you do, sort of.

I think you underestimate how much the patterns of play are building now. Especially with the defence, but all over.

The left side looks very good. Egeli on the right is hitting his stride (although he was running on fumes a bit tonight). Mautusiwa, Kipre, O’Shea, Furlong. Nunez is warming up in the 10.

It is coming along. We are getting better (as our results show)

He's human but a special one.

KM has never really been one for 25+ goals strikers. It's more about the work for the team. There's enough goals in this side imo. Will be interesting to see what we do.

Hirst is our number 9 though and KM says he has his backing.

As I said curious as to what others see, I agree with you on defence and left side, let's hope it all keeps building. 3 tough away games to finish the year with let's hope we can be touching distance off top two come 1st Jan.

Somewhat enjoyed that, couldn't see Stoke scoring in a month of Sundays 2nd half even though back of my mind I was fearing the worse.

Two clean sheets against top of the table sides so much better after Blackburn.

Even got my 1st correct score tonight and had Jaden as the goal scorer, moved up nearly 100 places in the prediction league so all good.
