Think we all need to calm down 12:48 - Dec 14 with 1083 viewsIpswich_Crazy

We are in a good position (5th) as of the creation of this thread, yes, yesterday was very disappointing, but we need to keep together and support the lads to bounce back. A long way to go yet, let's not be too negative. Yes, we need a striker in Jan (a must!) and maybe a few other signings to strengthen areas like defence and maybe midfield.

Think we all need to do less of calming down... and do a bit more of asking for a bit more. The emphasis really is on the team to deliver more.

Nice one Crazy, they don't give out the medals in the middle of a marathon.

Personally, I feel 'good' is very generous given how much we've spent.

12 and 8 points off and needing 17 wins, 5 draws and only 3 losses is almost impossible in this league when there is no evidence tactics will change, or that team will suddenly click.

One of the toughest games of the season, we had an off day, we lost.

Previously one, arguably two, of the toughest games of the season we won them both.

Cash in hand for signings.

Deep squad with a lot of room for improvement.

Keep Calm And Carry On.

Closer to 16th than second from a points perspective, the team needs to settle everyone down.

We need to keep our heads when everyone else around us is losing theirs.

For a team looking quite inconsistent we are making light work of getting to this position. There is certainly more upside to this team, that will take time to develop, we were unlikely to have gotten everything right last summer given the scale of change in one go, and so that has played out with concluding business late and the team taking longer than hoped to settle into a rhythm.

However we are not a club standing still and we will make adjustments as we go through the next window or more and hopefully look a more complete team on the other side. If its not this year we get another chance with diminished chance next season as the competition rises, but this is why fans need to focus on the long game and not the short. Aug to May is a long time, Aug-May-Aug-May is even longer to watch the short termers running around with their hair on fire.

I think there is a difference between being negative on here, sounding off at like minded fans and being negative in the stadium.

I can't imagine many on here would ever be negative to the team during games, we all support through thick and thin.

Its ok to be a bit down after a big defeat, I've never really got why people get so angry at others posting a bit negatively.

Listening to Joe on BM last this morning it is frustrating to hear that there are people vocally in the away end getting on players backs.

Even if some don't always like to read it nothing wrong with having debates on here or in the pub about recruitment, tactics or performance but it's very unhelpful in the stadiums where the support actually matters and cam make a difference.

You'd expect a lot of those fans that travel are regulars as well with points etc.
