It's a shame we have so many negative fans that he and others aren't given a chance. It is why we can't bring through players from our academy as the abuse would harm their development. |  |

I dont think he was really off balance. He was brilliantly agile in reversing his feet to put the ball back towards the keeper's feet, rather than the easy obvious finish which the goalkeeper would have often saved with his hands. Did everything really well. Just unlucky with that one. | | | |

I’m willing him to step up and take his chances especially with Hirst injured but his finishing isn’t great is it? Are the goals a few metres wider in Spain and Italy as more often than not he heads or shoots just wide of the post
He’s also not the tallest so most defenders can get the better of him in the air. |  |

I think Hirst is better but this season it has not been a huge gap.
Most agree top of the Jan wish list is a no9
Both Hirst and Azon have been anonymous for very large parts of the game. Per my original comment, when things are cooking I think Azon has linked play much better than Hirst (who has been mainly controlling balls with the touch of a baby elephant this season). Azons passing and 1-2s have been better.
But his finishing is not great. Looked back at the chance yesterday and I think if he flicks it near post the gk is not saving that. Hirst still a better finisher.
Nice if both can become more clinical.
