Has a decent enough shot on target just a few minutes after coming on, picks up the rebound and then misplaces a pass to Davis for a throw in, and he gets mass groans and people standing up to give him abuse.
You shouldn't be that desperate to get on someone's back, especially someone who clearly puts in effort and has already spoken to the press this season about how he's struggled to adjust to his move.

Honestly, some absolute whoppers in our fan base. They love to have a target and McAteer has become exactly that. To get the opportunities he had today doesn't happen by luck, his movement was excellent and the keeper made two decent saves from him and he could easily have had an assist. It's not quite happening for him yet but some fans booed him coming on and frankly we can do without knobheads like that at Portman Road. [Post edited 20 Dec 18:08]
