On a serious note seems remarkable how the mainstream media are not reporting about the Chinese and Russians swarming all over it at present ? is it to be protected or not because whoever is protecting at present ain't doing a very good job ?

not a massive surprise that a fantasist who believes the witterings of trump, also thinks santa will be the one responsible for bringing us a new 30-goal-a-season striker!

| Greenland on 17:22 - Jan 7 with 517 views | Mercian | They are only swarming over it in the way that the Venezuela operation was not about oil and Trump won the 2020 election. IE Russia and China are not "swarming" over Greenland. More lies. PS, Santa lives in Lapland not Greenland. [Post edited 7 Jan 17:25]

Plus they have base facilities there - and would face almost no difficulties in constructing more, should they so wish (I doubt the Danes would object). If Greenland is essential to US national security with reference to Russians and Chinese, then why are they simply not arranging more intense patrolling and surveillance in conjunction with Canada and Denmark? Almost like they are more concerned at securing unfettered mineral exploitation than defence.

That does seem like stating the obvious, I’m sure Denmark would be happy for plenty more US military presence in the area. This isn’t enough apparently ownership is needed.
