| Going up this year is so important 18:07 - Jan 26 with 876 views | IP1Blue | If we don’t go up this year, it’s going to be a big big struggle next year. You could have next year: Wolves - parachute money and will have a good squad for the the championship Burnley - parachute money and good squad for championship West Ham/Leeds - most likely - very good squads compared to championship Ipswich - good squad for championship Leicester - won’t be as bad you wouldn’t think as Southampton - won’t be as bad you wouldn’t think Sheffield United - won’t be as bad Wrexham - placing £15m bids for strikers and will have a good squad Birmingham - giving a player today 50k a week to sign over Ajax Even Norwich - spent £75m in last few years (yes I know they’re 20th) When you look at the potential sides in the championship next year, that will be much more of a slog compared to this year! I do feel like it’s so important we go up because when you look down the line into next season, it’s only going to get harder as all of them 9/10 teams will be wanting automatics next year or play offs at the minimum. When you compare it to this year where it’s bit of an open race with lesser teams, I wouldn’t fancy being in race against all of them as they won’t be us.the amount of money that will be spent this summer in the championship is almost guaranteed to be a record high and is one I hope we avoid! | | | | |

What no one does know despite any good or bad speculation is that we don't know what the ownership criteria is. Promotion at all costs, 2 or 3 years to rebuild etc. No one outside the hierarchy will know. Personally I think on most fronts the club is being run fantastically well and I have no real concerns.

I don’t dispute the running of the club, the goal of the ownership will be promotion with the money we have spent!

I'm sure it will as we have arguably the best squad and manager in this league.
| Going up this year is so important on 20:47 - Jan 26 with 428 views | Nutkins_Return | It is said every single year though. Cov and middlesbrough are up against lots of teams with parachute money and competing. If we didn't go up this year we will be mic stronger next year in my opinion with a squad ready to go from the off. The sentiment is right though. It would be really helpful to the club to get back up! Not massively looking forward to a prem season though 😂 | |

People say this every year, and every year you get different teams over and underperforming, the truth is we don’t actually know what this season will end up looking like let alone worrying about what next may be like.

Foundations, building blocks, running the club properly with the best facilities and infrastructure we can afford including a yoof system and scouting network. If that is done right, promotion will come.
| Going up this year is so important on 21:21 - Jan 26 with 332 views | itfcsuth | It’s tough any year to get out the Championship, but this year has been a particularly poor season. The division wont get any easier if we don’t go up this year, it would have to be a case of us getting better. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

yes, if we stay down we can't afford to give the others a 4 game headstart next year. 2 points a game from week 1

| Going up this year is so important on 21:34 - Jan 26 with 252 views | SWLondonBlue93 | I think if we were to stay in the Championship, we should at least have less squad turnover and be more likely to hit the ground running in August. The league overall could well be stronger, but I would still fancy us to go up if we have a reasonable summer. It would be a massive shame, however, if we didn't take advantage of the two years of parachute payments, we've seen how easy it is to get stuck in this league if you don't get it right in that period. | | | |

cov and 'boro were probably saying the same last year (about the league being tough next season) and were probably gutted when a "weaker" team like sunderland went up to leave sheffield united in the league with their parachute payments. you never know what'll happen, but let's go up anyway!
