Strand Larsen for £50m 16:29 - Jan 29 with 1525 viewsElderGrizzly

Appears a crazy fee, given his lack of goals/impact and a wake up call (for us?) for what it takes just to compete at the lower end of the PL.

It's bonkers. Wolves have virtually doubled their money on him in 6 months after he scored 1 goal.

Precisely £50m for 1 goal.

Although Liverpool paid £125m for Isak and he's only scored 1 league goal this season, so far. So £50m for 1 goal is a bargain compared with £125m

21 in 60 for Wolves is not bad, but he's just not very good. Should've had at least 4 against us at Molineux last season

Its about his first season on loan on Wolves innit - Palace must thing they can bring that back out of him.

We'd have got a massive number for Delap in different circumstances.

I presume this is a purchase by the club owners rather than the manager(as he’s off)….certainly at that price.

Wolves are going to be a force next season. With parachute and Strand Larsen money they'll presumably do some nice recruitment over the summer. I don't think Rob Edwards is a bad guy to have in charge either, and Molineux is a tough place to go. Nailed on top 2.

Crazy, he's so hit or miss,

I think he has all the makings to be an excellent striker. A bit of tweaking needed and definitely not 50m worth at the moment, but definitely has the ability to get there.

Surely in depends if the owners are prepared to spend that money on new players?
They certainly haven't in the Prem, constantly refusing to reinvest money from player sales, resulting in their current league position.

They spent over £100 million in the the past year. Admittedly they sold a similar amount, but it doesn't smack of taking it all to the bank.
