That was a question posed in a recent chat and I’m not sure tbh.
Incredible engine and player but seems to be handicapped by the way we play on the left with wingers that want to cut in rather than a transition team with a Broadhead type releasing him bombing forward. However, I haven’t been too impressed with some of his deliveries of late when he has got in the positions.
We were massively exposed today down that flank as well, not sure what was going on really, if Preston had any quality up top we’d have been made to pay more than we were. |  |

Not particularly, not a bad one but not a good one by his standards.
But we’ve stripped away his biggest threats and tried to invert him to accommodate Clarke and Philogene.
No surprise he isn’t grabbing the headlines as much. |  | | |

Can't have it both ways.
Davis bombing forward always leaves us slightly open...its always been a balance.
As the game progressed we committed more forward and Preston were very good on the break.
Davis isn't having a bad season but clearly not the levels he's had before. |  |

Yep. Just didn’t seem to be any cover for him today. I don’t think they were very good at all tbh it was a basic thing that happened and we were left exposed big time.
Had a couple of good opportunities to pick someone out and the deliveries were poor. One of to favorite players but been a bit underwhelming of late I think. Obviously not a major issue in this side but just more that his skillset is limited in this team compared to how he was used before. [Post edited 31 Jan 17:35]
