Personally think we have enough in building , just need to score more

Or people could just be adults about it, trust the Club (obviously) did everything they could, but decided (for the best interests of the club) that there wasn’t any deal possible or worth doing.

If you look at £48m to get the worst Premier League club’s misfiring striker (Strand Larsen), it doesn’t surprise me that we haven’t found anything worth investing in.

That melt down is getting close. As poor as we have been in the 9 a couple of goals from one of them could change everything in one game. Tbh if we can’t get a long term
Target I’d prefer a loan which seems to have been ruled out.

I'd agree. A striker would be handy but if we can't so be it.

Certainly going to be a massive uptick in water consumption with washing machines overloaded. Thankfully lots of rain recently so it shouldn't impact the reservoirs too much.

More one of dissapointment from me

Not that we haven't signed on in this window - it's difficult

but more we have spent another efl jan window needing a striker. last time we managed to get one which imo got us promoted, I don't that happens without it. This time.. it could really hurt us to not make that signing.

I 100000% understand the difficulty in finding a striker in the jan window.

Why the hell did we let it get to this point. that's the frustration.

I won’t be having a meltdown but I will find it disappointing if we don’t sign a good striker. That’s not entitlement but more based on an opinion that I do not believe that Hirst is good enough.

You believe our number 9s are good enough then ? It’s just called people’s opinions,it’s not a meltdown. You know the old saying about opinions ?! Your meltdown take is just YOUR opinion.

Agreed. It would have been nice to have more cover, but Hirst is likely to overcome his poor patch, Azon is now beginning to settle in well and I still believe Akpom can offer another no.9 option.

Realistically none of our strikers get in the starting 11 of the teams around us, thats the problem. We have the most spending power, most expensive squad of any team around us, yet arguably the most important part of the pitch we are let down week after week. We have needed an upgrade on Hirst FOR TWO YEARS.

Gobsmacked by the amount of people happy for us to not sign anyone. If we dont go up this year I see it being a real problem next season. The likes of Southampton, Leicester, Wolves, Burnley, Forest / West ham.. Plus Wrexham and Bham throwing more money at it. We have to go up this season.

Bodies and qualities are two different things. We have players. They're not converting chances army the required basis. Just needs to score more is obvious but not easy to solve.

Trying to bring the bedwetters (myself included) together with the happy clappers (no offence!), I wonder what /cheese/ would be best for this 'meltdown' in which some of us may well be engaged. These things need to be planned carefully...
