Won a pot last year! But I can’t believe I’m sitting here defending bloody Spurs so I’ll shut up now

….if he fails to get this squad up then he’ll do well to hang on to his job here, let alone move to a bigger job. I can’t see how he would appeal to any Premier League club after two consecutive seasons of failure.

Yep and their recruitment has been pretty terrible - at this point it can’t be the fault of so many top managers. If they were a well run business they’d have a hugely profitable player trading system like Brentford and Brighton, and reaping the additional financial benefits of finishing in the top 4. The best stadium in the country without doubt, but shambolically run from in virtually every other area.

| McKenna to Tottenham? (n/t) on 12:19 - Feb 11 by chicoazul | Cannot agree whatsoever they’re a basket case in any way. They’re just about the best run club in Europe. And I hate them and always have. There are only a few managers in the world who would turn them down. |
It feels like there are only a few managers in the world left to ask who haven't done it in the last few years! Marvellous stadium. No idea of the financial impact of that, but everyone loves it. Tick. But apart from that, the way they're run seems eccentric. No trophy for a billion years (that's already a pretty big negative), then they fire the guy that gets them it. And then they fire his replacement after a few months. 17th last season, currently 16th this season. Surely what happens on the pitch counts for something when it comes to determining how well run a club is?

But end of season looks like big shuffle, Palace available, Brighton job looks like it may come up again..... those are clubs that would seem like a logical step for Mckenna. You'd think both would look at Frank tbf. I'm 50 50 as to if we manage to keep him beyond end of season

Why would he leave a PL promotion fight for a PL relegation dog fight. He’s still got to open his training centre at PR anyhow. [Post edited 11 Feb 18:00]

De Zerbi or Glasner would be good choices.

I’m not sure. Unless spurs are very quickly gigging around the top four with an XG of at least 3 each time they play, their support will get after the guy.

That's a great effort. | |

Frank failed partly because some of the big name players at Spurs didn't buy into his methods. They knew he would be the one to be sacked, not them. Often happens when a successful manager moves "up" to a bigger club. That's one good reason why McKenna wouldn't be a good fit. No chance of him going to Spurs, especially mid season.

I think Glasner has missed his chance. He goes on some REALLY bad runs! Even last season he could have been sacked after 10 matches. Not sure the bigger clubs would sit through those runs.
