If Southampton get a good 5th round draw.... 14:08 - Feb 15 with 1584 viewsHogger

And get through to the quarter final, we could still end up with fixture congestion as our Good Friday trip south would be postponed

If Birmingham goes trough, the home game on Easter Monday will also be postponed.
This shows how stupid it is to hold the fifth round during the Easter weekend

Easter fixtures, second to the games over Christmas. Would be really disappointing if we don’t play at all. But agreed. Daft to play games then when not one but two games get postponed. Madness.

Considering how much the FA Cup has been devalued and how few teams play many regular starters, the league fixtures should still be played as scheduled and let the clubs just put their reserves out for the cup matches.

With that result, Southampton is the only club left in that could affect our schedule moving forward right?

I personally think 46 games in the championship is probably too much now. Obvious solution would be to reduce this division to 22 teams rather than faffing around with extra play-off places.
The scheduling of FA Cup rounds needs to be addressed as well. You can’t have situations where you have to postpone another home game for every single round you get through.

Good point, so the Southampton game is the only one that could move.

They've sensibly scrapped FA Cup replays so the congestion issue shouldn't be too bad.

Agree, think all the leagues are too big, they need a 5th top tier league with bottom two being north and south like in the old days!
