I don't think I've seen a thread about him but my friend and I thought he was by some way our best player yesterday.
Indeed, the fact that he is starting games suggests to me that McKenna considers him (his first signing?) our best option in that position.

Thought Anis, Azon, Taylor were better. Though as said on another thread Taylor failed to win his header for the first goal and our midfield got played through very easily and looked too high | |

Whilst he had a hand in two goals, Taylor gave the ball away far too much and was largely anonymous, and I thought Mehmeti wasn't the influence that he was at Derby because for much of the game Wrexham outplayed us.

Burns limped off injured at Derby. Not involved in our three goals yesterday, but agree he's easily our best option. We won't get much more than 60 mins from him this season, and there's otherwise an abyss at right-10. Can see why KM tried to sign a new one last month. We've spent 40m on that position since summer 2024. | | | |

If Ashton said it was £60k, it wasn’t £60k.
Contractually though, think it will depend on the division. If we are in the Championship would offer Wes a 2 year extension, if we were promoted, it may be the time he moves on.

I remember a storming game by him for Fleetwood against us so I was pleased when he signed. What I like is that he always plays to the best of his abilities every match, you know what you will get from him and I think that appeals to McK. You can't say the same at the mo for McAteer or Sindre. Really good honest pro. We will always remember that outside of the boot curler. Perfect team and individual goal. | | | |

I wonder if he could play the Furlong role ? He is strong and effective in the tackle and 1 v 1 s not as good as Furlong but in those low block games does he need to be ? | |
